Registered Physiotherapist & Pelvic floor Physiotherapist
Steph grew up in Kitchener with a passion to help others. After spending a significant time in and out of physiotherapy clinics as a busy kid, she knew a career as a physiotherapist was the way to go. Steph graduated from the University of Western Ontario, Master of Physical Therapy in 2009. Prior to this, she completed a 4 year Honors Specialization in Health Science with Biology also, from the University of Western Ontario in 2007. Since completing her Masters, Steph continues to further her post graduate education pursuits with a strong interest in manual therapy, sports physiotherapy, pre and post-natal care and acupuncture. She has had years of experience helping those of all ages including kids, elite athletes and new moms prevent and overcome injuries.
Since having kids of her own, Steph takes pride in helping moms-to-be and new moms achieve their physiotherapy goals. These could include things like staying active during pregnancy, getting ready for delivery and dealing with postpartum issues that may come up. Pregnancy and Postpartum can be some of the most challenging times for some women. Steph’s goal is to help make these periods of time as smooth as they can be.
Steph has always had a passion for sports and physical activity. She has participated in many competitive sports throughout her life and continues to promote the importance of health and physical fitness, including being a National level Ultimate (Frisbee) player. She has been a loyal Elite Training Facility regular for over 10 years, participating in our Better Body Exchange group exercise classes, only taking short breaks having babies (who are all now regulars and can be frequently found hanging out during workouts). Steph may be a recent addition to our Elite team, but she has been part of our Elite family for over a decade.
In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, travelling and exploring the culinary world with her husband and their three little Higlets.
